The president of the Consell de Formentera, Alejandra Ferrer, has advanced this Sunday the most important changes that the island will undergo as a result of the start of phase 2, which will allow bathing and recreational use of the beaches starting this Monday.

After a first analysis of the ministerial order and awaiting some clarification, Ferrer explained the news of the new phase, which he described as "good news, which as we always want to take with great responsibility and caution," he stressed.

Among the most important changes, Ferrer has listed that the meetings may be up to fifteen people, the access allowed inside the restaurant and in the common spaces in the hotel industry, but with a limited capacity, and that recreational fishing will also be allowed and The hunt.

The recreational use and bathing on the beaches is confirmed in this second phase, a possibility that the Consell de Formentera had contemplated with the entry in the first phase, but that from the Government Delegation in the Balearic Islands it was clarified that it was not yet permitted.

The president has insisted on the importance of "not forgetting" that the health crisis is still continuing, while thanking citizens and the business sector for the "great responsibility, prudence and collaboration that they have demonstrated so far".

"I am sure that all together we will be able to pass phase by phase, also the rest of the territories, to reactivate the economy. Of course, it will always be with everyone's help," Ferrer said.
